Wilson Rams High School Water Polo
Rams Take 7th in State!!
Water Polo was the first team sport played at the Olympic Games. Though few people know much about Water Polo in this state, it has been played at high school level since the late sixties and at Wilson since 1971. Water Polo is the fastest growing collegiate sport for women today with programs popping up all over the country. Water Polo is also one of the activities that kids can participate in. Players get great cardio vascular work out along with strengthening their entire body’s muscle structure without overtaxing some areas. If you are not familiar with the game then try to picture playing a combination of hockey and basketball in a pool and you will get a fair idea. Players do not need to be on a swim team to compete, many of Wilson’s best players started out as weak swimmers and became strong swimmers. We are looking for enthusiastic students who want to try something different. Water Polo is a great sport that kids become very involved with. Try Water Polo!
